I am a Texas girl. I have lived in Houston, Lubbock, and Waco. My family moved to San Antonio in 1984 where I attended Northside schools including Glen Oaks Elementary, Hobby and Rudder Middle School, and Clark High School. I hold a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Early Childhood Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio, and a masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Baylor University. I am also currently working on my administrative certification at UTSA.

I live with my husband, Marte, our 4-year-old daughter, Sarah Elaine, and our 1-year-old daughter, Abigail Grace!  We also have a cat, Clara, and our black chihuahua, Thor. My hobbies include spending time with our extended family, traveling, gardening, reading, singing, assisting in Sunday School, and this web page. This summer we enjoyed visiting with our family members and vacationing at Galveston and Corpus Christi beach!
